In 2001 Phoenix Productions presented a sit down production of the smash hit comedy LATE NITE CATECHISM in the D.C. metro area. Part catechism class, part stand-up routine, it is an interactive evening of comedy, written by Vicki Quade and Maripat Donovan, where the audience is a part of Sister’s class. Sister takes you back to the days of Latin mass, meatless Fridays and reminds you about that good old ruler across the knuckles! Phoenix was elated when “Sister” Jodi Capeless was awarded the 2001 Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Non-Resident Production for her very memorable performance. With the great success of the 2001 production, Phoenix brought LATE NITE CATECHISM back for a second successful run in 2002 featuring Lisa Buscani as Sister. LATE NITE CATECHISM continues to make people laugh their sins off around the country.
