The “other” Phantom unmasked

A timeless tale. A haunting score. A stunning production. These are the elements that converged as the curtain went up on Phoenix’s North American touring presentation of Arthur Kopit & Maury Yeston’s PHANTOM. Under the expert direction of Dominic Missimi, Michael Minarik and Maria Couch led a powerhouse cast through this lovely theatrical rendition of Gaston Leroux’s classic novel tracing the obsession of the disfigured composer who falls in love with his protégé only to be undone by his passion. Lavish sets, gorgeous costumes and lush melodies were the order of the 2000-01 touring season as PHANTOM graced its way across the nation.
