Camelot played the beautiful Providence performing Arts Center in downtown Providence R.I. before taking a few weeks of for the holiday season, and what better way to end the year then playing to appreciative audiences at the PPAC.
Critics continue to heap praise upon the talented company members of CAMELOT.
“The cast is quite well picked to portray these legendary characters. Adam Grabau as Arthur is as quietly intense as he is amusing. Mary McNulty's Guenevere is even more intense; notable when she is losing her husband to her treasonous behavior and can belt a tune to shake the rafters. Tim Rogan's Lancelot is the epitome of what the role is supposed to be, an incredibly handsome and talented knight, his performance doesn't disappoint.” – Edge Providence
“Mary McNulty. She has one of the most beautiful voices heard on PPAC's stage in recent memory, made even more impressive by how effortless it seems” - Broadway World
“Kate Turner, who makes an all-too-brief appearance as the “Lady of the Lake,” Nimue, had my favorite voice of the show: a crystal clear soprano that I wanted so much more of.” - WPRO-AM
“Rogan slid into “If Ever I Would Leave You,” and I can tell you the audience sat up and paid attention. He’s easily as good as Robert Goulet, the original Lancelot.” - Providence Journal
This past week, CAMELOT played to cheers and standing ovations in Toledo where critics said:
"Lerner and Loewe’s score sounds fresher than ever."
"Adam Grabau (Arthur) is superb, Mary McNulty (Guenevere) positively channels Julie Andrews in her effervescent performance and Tim Rogan is especially glorious in the role of Lancelot."
"Very Highly Recommended."
Critics enjoyed the Friday night, Oct 17th performance of CAMELOT at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
"The leads cut vivid images. Adam Grabau is a vulnerable King Arthur – human, magical, loving and searching as a walking expression of the idyllic song “Camelot.” Mary McNulty rings up a beautiful voice as Guenevere, who is a tangle of estrogen and smarts. Tim Rogan embodies Lancelot, rock solid BIG voice and well-chiseled lines. Kasidy Devlin owns the stage as Mordred, prancing and oozing his way through smart-mouth songs."
"Lancelot delivers a great love song, “If Ever I Would Leave You.” Director Michael McFadden chooses to keep all the impact of the song in the song. As Lancelot, Tim Rogan just stands and delivers the song with his powerfully appealing voice. Just stands. No theatrics, no doodads, no sweeping gestures, no sappy expressions, no frills. Just stands. Everything already is there in the song. That’s all that’s needed. Just sing, man. And Tim Rogan does. That really smart interpretation of a moment is representative of the really smart production overall."
"The musical production has a lot going for it – a thoughtful and passionate story around the Arthurian legend, memorable songs of Lerner and Loewe, sceneic design that blends tradition with a modern vision, vivid characterizations and solid voices, a live orchestra and a general flair. The audience gave the performance a standing ovation."
With all technical elements in play, the first performance of CAMELOT draws near. The unique, sexy and edgy lighting design by Mike Baldassari, wardrobe design by Paul Tazewell and scenic design by Kevin Depinet complete the artistic vision for this visually bold, new production. The first preview performance take place in Gainesville, Florida on October 3rd with an official tour opening in Macon, Georgia on October 7th.
N.Y.C. rehearsals seemed like “one brief shining moment” as the CAMELOT cast wrapped up a strong two and a half weeks of studio work.
Now, in Gainesville, Florida at The Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, the cast has joined our top notch creative team for what is sure to be an exciting two weeks of technical rehearsals. This newly imagined production of Lerner and Loewe’s CAMELOT will play its first preview performance on October, 3rd, 2014.

“The Addams Family is a musical with a lot of heart. It doesn't pretend to be wise or witty; what comes across instead is a smart show with humor that's true to the characters and thus becomes uplifting. It's a multi-layered love story and a story of love; loving and being loved; settling and entitlement.
Yes, "The Addams Family" is quite off-the-wall - but what family isn't? What they have is what we want - spunky fun, honest caring, transparency.”
And with that perfectly stated review by Nuvo.net from the tours last stop in Indianapolis, the big red curtain falls on The Addams Family after 18 months, 4 countries, 128 cities, 88,913 miles of travel and 366 outstanding performances!

“success is helped to a great degree by the uniformly brilliant and brilliantly talented cast. Leading the way is Dominique Scott as Drew…He's also got an astounding amount of stage presence and charisma, while being instantly likeable. He has an equal in Shannon Mullen, playing his love interest…Sherrie….Brian Ashton Miller as Dennis and Andrew Sklar as Lonny…. The two of them make a fantastic onstage pair… Sklar deserves special mention for his performance of Lonny, who is also the musical's narrator. He brings such joy to every moment, he's lovable and fun to watch, as he sort of guides the plot along, with a grin and a wink to the audience.” - Broadway World
In a prolific career spanning six decades, Charles Addams created several thousand cartoons, sketches and drawings, many of which were published in The New Yorker. But it was his creation of characters that came to be known as The Addams Family that brought Addams his greatest acclaim. With a unique style that combined the twisted, macabre and just plain weird with charm, wit and enchantment, Addams' drawings have entertained millions worldwide and served as the inspiration for multiple television series, motion pictures and the stage musical that continues to thrill audiences and critics alike.

“More than one audience member left the theater that night putting “The Addams Family Musical” high atop their personal list of the best shows the Henderson Area Arts Alliance has brought here in its 20 years.”
“Fogarty is a particularly strong and charismatic singer, and her love-fraught solo “Pulled” and duet “Crazier Than You” sound like they were written just for her voice. And when silent butler Lurch finally joins the family on the big closing ballad “Move Toward the Darkness,” Olson’s solo is well worth the wait.”
“Ms. Fogarty’s Wednesday is a petite dynamo determined to get her guy as well as torment brother Pugsley; Mr. Barth brings a delightfully pugnacious attitude to his role.”
The Addams Family hits the Whitney Hall in Louisville, KY, playing from 16 Oct 2013 to 20 Oct 2013. The town welcomed them in style with a fleet of busses.
